Balford manufactures precision stamped and deep-drawn metal components for electronics and electromechanical devices — IGBT base plates, motor claw poles and end caps, solenoid frames, isolation sleeves, connector housings and brackets. Production follows ISO 9001:2015 with IATF 16949-aligned quality controls on a 12,000 m² facility with 500+ machines.
Selected electronics projects from Balford’s production history. Material, process and application data come from each case record.
| Part Type | Typical Process Route | Key Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| IGBT / power base plates | Fine blanking → plating | Flatness, plating color/stress, dimensional standard |
| Motor claw poles | Fine blanking / stamping | Tight ID/OD/height, burr-free |
| DC motor end caps | Deep drawing → notch punching → machining | Countersunk holes in one hit, end-face finish |
| Solenoid frames / C-frames | Progressive die stamping, bending | Feature alignment, flatness, squareness |
| Isolation / guide sleeves | Thin-wall deep drawing | Thickness consistency, roundness |
| Connector housings, shields, brackets | Stamping, shallow drawing, bending | EMI fit, plating, dimensional stability |
Fine blanking presses and progressive die lines; gauges and fixtures for automated-assembly-critical dimensions.
Power-module base plates (copper), motor claw poles and end caps, solenoid frames, magnetic isolation sleeves, connector housings, shielding cans and stamped brackets — in copper, brass, steel and stainless with plating as required.
Yes. Fine blanking, controlled stamping sequences and straightening steps are used where flatness is critical; parts are checked against your tolerance from first article onward.
Yes. Nickel sulfamate plating for copper base plates, tin and nickel for brass and steel parts are coordinated with qualified partners, with coating thickness verification on request.
For solenoid frames, sleeves and pure-iron housings we control material selection and, where needed, annealing so that magnetic performance (e.g. coercivity) meets the circuit requirement.
Yes. We hold the critical dimensions and feature alignment that automated feeders and assembly stations depend on, and we document them in the FAI report for each tool.
Send us your 2D drawing or STEP/IGES model. We will review material, tolerances, forming requirements and production volume before quoting.
