Tooling is paid up front, parts are qualified against your drawings, and once production ramps, switching suppliers means new tooling, new samples, and new validation cycles. A structured evaluation—before you send drawings or sign a quotation—reduces the risk of late delivery, out-of-tolerance parts, and hidden cost escalations.
