Special-alloy work at Balford is quoted project by project, not from a standing stock capability. Nickel-based alloys and titanium behave very differently from carbon steel and stainless steel, so the grade, formability, tooling and inspection route are reviewed before any commitment is made — and we will tell you plainly when a grade is outside what we have run. Production follows ISO 9001:2015 quality management on a 12,000 m² facility with 500+ machines.
Grades we will evaluate on request include Inconel 625 and 718, Monel 400 and Hastelloy C276. Evaluation means we review material availability, forming or machining feasibility and tooling before quoting — it is not a claim of routine production volume.
Titanium grades TA1, TA2 and TC4 (Ti-6Al-4V) are evaluated case by case, with springback and surface condition controlled through tooling and process settings rather than assumed.
Because these grades are outside our routine production, every enquiry follows the same sequence before a price is given:
If the review shows the project is not a good fit for our equipment or experience, we say so at that point rather than after a purchase order.
