2024
In January 2024, Shawn relocated the operation from Deqing to Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province, moving into our own facility. Since then, we've expanded beyond metal stamping into brazing, machining, and bending of steel and copper tubing. Stamping capability has grown from single-hit work to full progressive die stamping, and the entire plant is being automated for higher throughput and consistency.
2016
In November 2016, Shawn moved Derlin to Deqing County, Zhejiang, and rebranded the company as Balford Stamps. We shifted focus from motor housings to solenoid valve and sensor housings, supporting OEMs with tighter quality control and engineering input. We also launched international trade, now shipping to customers in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Italy, and beyond.
2000
In February 2000, Shawn's father and cousin founded Derlin Stamps in Tangxia Town, Rui'an City, Zhejiang—the heart of China's automotive parts industry. Initial products included glass regulator motor housings, fuel pump iron housings, and wiper motor housings. Shawn took over in 2012 and has since driven steady growth and capability expansion.
