From deep drawing to precision machining — Balford manufactures valve housings, sleeves, frames, caps and washers for hydraulic and industrial solenoid valve manufacturers worldwide. Housing geometry and material: wall thickness, concentricity, magnetic grade and tolerance control for the housing itself are on the dedicated solenoid valve housing page. Production follows ISO 9001:2015 with IATF 16949-aligned quality controls quality management on a 12,000 m² facility with 500+ machines.
Selected solenoid valve projects from Balford's production history. Material, process and application data come from each case record.
Balford works with solenoid valve and electromagnetic device manufacturers in Europe, the US and China.
| Capability | Typical Solenoid Valve Parts |
|---|---|
| Deep Draw Stamping | Housings, sleeves, coil housings, end caps |
| Precision Stamping | Frames, washers, flat parts |
| Metal Machining Services | Secondary machining of valve housings (turning, facing, holes) |
| Metal Brazing | Joining of valve sub-assemblies (as referenced by customer feedback) |
| Item | Range |
|---|---|
| Wall thickness (deep-drawn thin-wall parts) | ≈ 0.3 – 0.5 mm (e.g. OD 11.7 / ID 10.97 / H 43.2 mm magnetic shield; OD 7 / ID 6.35 / H 63.5 mm injector sleeve) |
| Materials | Carbon steel (DC01/DC04/1008), stainless steel 304/305/316, brass, aluminium |
| Surface finishing | Brightened, passivated, nickel-plated (per specification) |
| Certifications | ISO 9001:2015; IATF 16949-aligned processes |
| Prototype lead time | Confirmed per part after drawing review |
| Production lead time | Confirmed after tooling review |
Commonly stainless steel, low-carbon steel and brass, selected by application (corrosion, magnetic circuit, pressure). Balford reviews the material grade with you before tooling.
Yes — wall thickness, concentricity and dimensional repeatability are controlled through tooling design and in-process inspection on the deep drawing line.
Yes. Prototype and sample tooling is available before committing to production tooling, with a DFM review provided on your drawings.
Yes. Send the drawing, material specification and estimated annual volume — we review the manufacturing details and confirm the next steps.
Send it to us for a detailed quote with a DFM review. We will review material, tolerances, forming requirements and production volume before quoting.
