Balford Stampings' work on customers' carbon-neutral goals cuts our own emissions and also lowers the carbon footprint embedded in the metal components we supply.
Carbon-neutral metal processing
Energy use, material yield, production efficiency, and transport all affect the carbon footprint of a stamped part. Balford reviews each production stage and refines the process wherever we can achieve a measurable reduction.
Material utilization and recycling
We optimize tooling layouts to improve strip utilization and minimize offcuts. Scrap steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum are sorted by material type and sent to qualified recycling channels.
Efficient production
Progressive tooling, stable process parameters, and preventive maintenance reduce rework and unnecessary machine time. The plant also keeps replacing inefficient equipment and improving electricity and compressed air usage.
Support for customer targets
For new projects, Balford can review material, process route, surface treatment, and packaging with the customer. The goal is to meet drawing and quality requirements while reducing waste, energy consumption, and logistics volume.
