What is different about EGT and injector housings?
They combine a thin wall with a sealing or locating feature, and they sit in a hot, vibrating environment. That pushes the design towards 310S or 316 on the exhaust side, towards a machined sealing face after forming, and towards a draw schedule with more stages than the diameter alone would suggest.

Wall and sealing face
The wall is usually thin relative to the diameter, which is exactly where ironing earns its place: the wall is thinned deliberately while both diameters stay under control. The sealing face is then machined so that squareness and surface finish are held independently of the drawn surface.
Vibration and fatigue
Exhaust-side parts see thermal cycling and vibration. Rounded transitions between wall and flange, no sharp internal corners, and a consistent wall all matter more than a marginally tighter general tolerance.
