Aluminum Housing for Automotive Pressure Sensor
The Ford oil pressure sensor housing is drawn from 5052 aluminum using a progressive die with deep draw tooling. The part gets a white anodized finish, and the end edge is machined to a chamfer as a secondary operation.

Case Review
Aluminum housings machine well and offer design flexibility, which adds real value to the end product. After stamping and deep drawing, the housing shows improved strength and toughness—key for sensor applications under vibration and thermal cycling.
